is a chartered engineer (FIMechE) with extensive experience of
electricity generation, power station commissioning and operations,
power-project development, regulatory consents, environmental permits
and technical due diligence. With the CEGB later he was initially a
power station operations and commissioning engineer in coal and oil
fired plant. He was later responsible for management of the initial
development stages of new power station projects of all types -
including coal, oil, wind, hydro, pumped storage, CHP and nuclear. At
the privatisation of the CEGB he became Consents Manager for National
Power. He left National Power in 1992 to set up on his own as a
power-project consultant. In this capacity he has worked in the UK and
overseas, managed planning applications, regulatory consents regimes,
technical due diligence studies and environmental authorisations for a
range of different kinds of power generation and CHP projects. |  |
