is a successful and experienced operations and asset management
director in power generation, with an established track record in
building up highly successful new substantial power and gas operations
and in developing and managing complex commercial partnerships. He
qualified as an engineer, a chemist, and also has a qualification in
accounting and finance. He began his career as an engineer with British
Gas and East Midlands Electricity, before moving into electricity
purchasing contract negotiation in 1989. He moved to Edison Mission
Energy as General Manager of Derwent Power Station, a 210MW CHP CCGT in
1993, taking the plant through its construction phase and its first
year of commercial operation. He later became a director of Derwent as
well as Lakeland Power, which owned a 220MW CCGT, and additionally he
was a director of Edison Mission Services Ltd. In addition he has been
a director of the Association of Electricity Producers and was chair of
the Independent Generators Forum. |  |
